The Royal Hua Hin
was Thailand's first golf
course, this gem is just a stone's throw from the centre of town.
Cross the railway line at Hua Hin's famous railway station, and you
can walk on to the first tee. It's a lovely example of a natural golf
course, set in undulating terrain around impressive limestone
escarpments. The fairways are lined with mature trees making shot
accuracy the key to a good round. Several holes provide panoramic
views of the Gulf of Thailand. There are no water hazards, although
there are some "monkey" hazards, who have been known to playfully
collect and make off with your favourite ball on a few
of the holes on the back nine.
