Bangpra Golf Club
The hilly terrain of
Bang Pra is laid out on long holes, which are separated with large
trees. Like most of the other courses on Thailand’s East coast, this
course is set in picturesque scenery.
The many dog-leg holes on the back nine make this course a tricky one.
Water comes into play on many of the holes, and is strategically
placed so concentration is a must, especially as the greens here are
very fast and you can easily roll off into the water, if you miss
judge that chip! |

Crystal Bay Golf Club
Formally
Natural Park Resort Golf Club, this track now offers 27-holes. Although
the design is somewhat uninspiring, the course has recently been
improved by the addition of a lot of palm trees, thus giving it the
appearance of a Hawaiian links. Water fringes the course on all sides
and the No. 3 dog leg and No. 8 island hole are particularly interesting
and enjoyable. The clubhouse facilities are excellent. |

Greenwood Golf & Country
Club (formerly Great Lakes Golf & Country Club)
Located on the magnificent Dok Krai
reservoir's banks, the Nick Faldo designed course is truly magnificent.
However, although the club could have easily relied on Dok Krai's water
for its natural hazards, Faldo has also incorporated an astonishing 120
bunkers into its design - eleven of which can be found along the
par-four 18th, the course's most popular hole. Clubhouse and local hotel
facilities are of the usual very high standard. |
|
Khao Kheow Country
Club
Large ponds, well
placed bunkers and hills that surround the greens and fairways make
this track interesting to play. The course really has something for
everyone. In particular, watch out for the par-three seventeen, it's
one to remember for both amateurs and professionals alike and relies
on the golfer having a certain amount of luck on his/her side. The
first 18 have been designed with a stadium championship course,
while the back 18 are definitely in a resort course style.

Noble Place Golf resort
& Country Club
This course is full of tricky bunkers,
and although the designers didn't include much water in the course
design, they have more than made up for it with masses of sand and
clever use of reeds and heavy rough. Accuracy is the word here, and
golfers willing to take a confident gamble will certainly benefit
from the lovely layout. This course is definitely one of the best in
the Pattaya area. |

Phoenix Golf Course
Set on a
wooded, Hilly terrain, this coastal course comprises of three
nines-"Ocean", "Lake" and "Mountain" courses. With narrow fairways
and spacious greens the landscape is set with bamboo, eucalyptus and
natural bushes. Water has been used sparingly, except for the middle
nine where there is plenty of it. Beware the 17th which dog-legs
left around a big lake. The second shot here has to be played with
extreme accuracy as there is water on the left and right approach to
the green.

St. Andrews golf course with some interesting success.
This demanding course has been blended nicely into the natural

a
